Air, Compressible Air

Air, being a very compressible fluid, presents unique challenges for control systems.  Industrial pneumatic systems use compressed air as the prime mover.  The air pressure is typically 60 to 90 psig.  The fact that air compresses causes problems in pneumatic systems, especially where components are marginally or incorrectly sized, or where load conditions vary.
