Attempting to get a development environment going for Android Apps.<\/p>\n
http:\/\/www.oracle.com\/technetwork\/java\/javase\/downloads\/index.html<\/a><\/p>\n Java development kit download page.<\/p>\n Once the java dev stuff was loaded, the eclipse environment started properly.<\/p>\n It is installed at:<\/p>\n F:\\Droid-Dev\\adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20130729\\eclipse.exe<\/p>\n When it started the first time, it wants a location for the “workspace”.<\/p>\n I located the workspace at:<\/p>\n F:\\Droid-Dev\\Workspace<\/p>\n http:\/\/developer.android.com\/training\/basics\/firstapp\/index.html<\/a><\/p>\n tutorial on building your first app. \u00a0This came up as a link in the dev environment. \u00a0I will attempt to follow that tutorial and build my first app.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n http:\/\/docs.oracle.com\/javase\/<\/a><\/p>\n Page that has documentation links for the java stuff.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Downloadedd jdk-7u25-windows-x64.exe from that site. \u00a090.66Mb file.<\/p>\n Downloaded adt-bundle-windows-x86_64-20130729.zip from the android developers site.<\/p>\n http:\/\/developer.android.com\/sdk\/index.html<\/a><\/p>\n http:\/\/developer.android.com\/sdk\/installing\/bundle.html<\/a><\/p>\n Describes setting up the dev environment. \u00a0Really nothing helpful there.<\/p>\n I was under the impression that unzipping the file from android site was all that was required to get going. \u00a0Their site would lead you to believe that.
